Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 6 am–7 pm. Columbus is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Columbus is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Very quick at making the coffee, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Helped my noncaffinated brain realize what I actually wanted when I ordered the long way lol. Coffee is very smooth and not too bitter highly recommend the salted brown sugar flavor.

If you’re a matcha lover, save your money. This was by far one of the worst matcha lattes I’ve ever had. It smelled awful, had a terrible taste, and nothing about it tasted like matcha. I genuinely couldn’t finish it and ended up throwing it away.

Ordered ahead before work, as I usually do. I always go inside to pick my order up, you know, to just feel like I'm part of the coffee house experience. But today was different. I pulled into the parking lot to park at 729, and walked inside at 731. My online order drink was ready, but no sandwich. I waited at the counter until 750 until someone finally acknowledged my presence. Prior to this, I watched no less than 3 regulars come in and get specialized treatment and acknowledgement. For almost 20 minutes, no one asked if I needed anything, made any kind of small talk, how I was going, or even made any kind of eye contact. The store wasn't that busy. This experience left me feeling invisible to the staff. I'm not unfriendly, or unapproachable; nothing in my life would suggest that I am. Heck, I even go out of my way to come inside just to see people, and maybe create an opportunity for some human connection. This was a wholly disappointing experience. I get that my order may have been overlooked, it happens. But then the process broke down, and took 19 minutes of standing in one spot for someone to even bother to ask if I needed anything.

I typically come through the drive thru here and have loved it, the employees are generally fantastic and clearly love animals which I love so so much. They give my baby the biggest pup cups and it’s her favorite place to go with me. However, I recently went in for the first time and my perspective of the place has dramatically changed. While the employees were still amazing for the most part, one major issue I had was before I even got my drink. I heard my name called and when I went to go grab it, there were 5 or 6 other drinks that looked just like mine, and while I waited to ask the only employee who didn’t seem busy which was a young woman with red hair, instead of helping me she was instead dancing wildly behind the counter. While sure I’m all for people having fun at work, I do have a problem with it when I clearly had an issue with my order.Once I did get helped by her, she pointed out the wrong drink and she made it seem as if it was my fault for not knowing. I heard her loudly talk down on me to her other coworkers after she made one of them remake it, basically implying how dumb I was. Clearly I was offended by this behavior especially with how loud and proud it was p

This cozy little coffee shop in Clintonville has quickly become one of my go-to spots when I need to get a bit of work done or just take a break and recharge. The coffee is consistently solid, with a nice variety of brews and espresso drinks that never disappoint. They also have a small but well-curated selection of pastries that really hit the spot—especially if you catch them when they’re fresh. I’ve tried several and have yet to find one I didn’t enjoy. The service is always friendly and efficient. The staff seems genuinely happy to be there, which adds to the overall vibe of the place. They keep things moving quickly, so even if there’s a bit of a line, you’re never waiting long. Parking is surprisingly easy for Clintonville, which is a huge plus, and once you’re inside, it’s a comfortable space temperature-wise—cool in the summer and warm in the winter. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the seating. It’s not the most spacious layout, and some of the chairs/tables aren’t ideal for longer visits. That said, the fast and reliable WiFi makes up for it. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
